Impressive bridge. And that castle, too — once a necessity — is now something to be enjoyed as a picturesque remnant of times gone by. It looks like wandering about at random could be quite rewarding in Chaves.

My parents brought me to Chaves when I was a toddler, this is in 1956 we are talking about, they took me to the photographers. I was beautiful little guy, with curly blond hair and green eyes. I still have a b&w picture of me, full frontal, sitting back on a chair, in my birthday suit, my pecker under my left left thigh. It is my most prized possession. On the picture is stamped: Foto Aguia, Chaves, Rua S Antonio 39. I wonder if it's still there? You filmed 38, so 39 must have been close behind you.

Ola Miguel – A beautiful city and one that we hope to visit on our next trip. The Roman pools are incredible and fantastic the measures taken to preserve them. There is a sad connection between Chaves and NZ. In 1985 the French bombed Greenpeace's protest ship, The Rainbow Warrior, in Auckland harbor. One person was killed – Fernando Pereira, who was a Portuguese photographer from Chaves 🥝🧡

Otro encanto de ciudad! Es curioso como todas las que he visitado(contigo) conservan su aire netamente portugués , pero a la vez tienen sus propias carcterísticas. Esta por ejemplo me llamó la atención la cantidad de balcones techados en muchas casas y aún edificios. El puente realmente es un ejemplo claro que los romanos tenían dominio en la construcción en general. Y me encantó por lo maravillosamente mostrado, los baños en ese edificio-museo. Yo soy casi museóloga y todas esas cosas me interesan muchísimo. Otra vez todo mi agradecimiento por este precioso video!!!!
