As title says, I’m having trouble identifying the exact make, model and year of this early-to-mid 2000s Cube “XC Race Line 3”.
Got it from a friend for cheap and was thinking about modernizing it a bit with a 1x drivetrain, newer hydraulic brakes, and potentially a new fork like a Manitou Markhor.
However, without knowing my the history and value of this bike I’m having trouble deciding if it’s even worth touching.
Can’t find anything on Google, Cube’s online catalogs for full squishies only go back to 2008 or so even on 3rd party websites. It looks to be from 2005-2007 by my estimation.
I commute with a much newer hardtail and wanted something to muck about on the trails with. Is this worth putting $400-500 in upgrades to modernize, or should I sell it and get a newer used FS MTB?
