This video features Köln, Germany, a vibrant city on banks of the Rhine River. After being heavily damaged during World War II, Köln was completely rebuilt, blending its young energy with its historical heritage.
I chose the song “Tommi” by AnnenMayKantereit for this video. The band hails from Köln, and the song is a nostalgic tribute about returning to the city. It’s a meaningful choice for me, as one of my German teachers, who played a big role in teaching me the language and German culture, grew up in Köln.
