Join Piggy and Tom March on their emotional and inspiring 1,100km charity cycle ride across the UK, raising funds for Spinal Research and the British Eventing Support Trust. This challenging ride, which took them from Blair Castle in Scotland to London’s Savoy Hotel, honors the memory of Tom’s sister, Caroline March, a talented equestrian and eventing star who was left paralyzed after a tragic accident in 2022.
Caroline, after facing immense challenges from her injuries, chose to end her life at an assisted dying clinic in Switzerland in 2024. This ride—Cycle4Caroline—was not just about the distance but about raising awareness for spinal injuries and supporting vital spinal research. The funds raised will go directly to helping individuals living with spinal injuries and supporting injured athletes in the equestrian community.
Throughout the journey, Piggy, Tom, and their dedicated team faced harsh weather conditions, challenging terrain, and emotional moments, all while paying tribute to Caroline and bringing attention to the cause. Their ride passed through iconic eventing venues like Burghley House and Blenheim Palace, making it a truly unforgettable challenge.
The ride culminated at the Savoy Hotel, marking the end of their charity cycle ride but the beginning of continued efforts to raise funds for spinal injury research. It’s a journey of love, determination, and hope, and we’re proud to share this inspiring story with you.
