I haven’t owned a “real” mtb in over a decade, have only had DJ and gravel bikes.
Recently moved and have a decent 16mile trail in the backyard and can asphalt trail ride 3.5 miles to another 25 mile trail system so i figured it was time again! Surprised to see things like dropper posts and wireless derailleurs in my time away LOL
Stopped by a ton of local stores looking at bikes and settled on a in stock Trek Fuel Ex 9.8. Bought the wife an in stock FX sport 4 and ordered myself an FX sport 6. Awesome manager who knocked nearly enough off i got a half price gravel bike for me and a freebie for the wife. Then free accessories time was like being on supermarket sweep just piling things on!
Realized how out of shape I am and climbing really sucks so I’ve been riding 20ish gravel miles a night trying to build back some stamina.
