  1. And one of the most important things isnt mentioned. Dont pedal hard when shifting. Let up a little or a good bit up on the power when changing gears also regularly and i mean often cleaning saves a lot of maintenance cost. Also get a adjustment of the gears after a little while since the cables stretch…

  2. Train for a week on the smaller chainring. This will almost nullify your downstroke even despite using a small rear sprocket and demand more sweeping momentum. A rather circular pedaling, but don't pull upwards much more than to minimize weight on the pedal.
    After one week return to the greater chainring and see how fast you got!😊

  3. I have the same setup on my MTB, still havent figured out the magic ratio between front and back gears to be effortless and fast on the road
