Hebridean Way 2024 – a cycle touring trip up the Hebridean Way

375 miles of cycling with 17800ft of elevation, 4 Trains, 5 Ferrys, 6 causeways, 7 B&Bs over 8 days.
Northerly wind for 3 days whilst on the islands but generally dry
Few pubs whilst on the islands. Need to buy drink at shops prior to B&B stops.
Day 1 – Warrington to Inveraray
Train to Glasgow, train to Gourock, Ferry to Hunters Quay
Loch Eck, Loch Fyne, Fyne Ales, Inveraray Hotel ( good, nice breakfast )
Day 2 – Inveraray to Barra
Loch Awe, Oban, Ferry to Castlebray, Vatersay via Causeway, Barra, Tigh Grianach Bed and Breakfast ( excellent )
Day 3 – Barra to North Uist
Ferry to Eriskay, South Uist via causeway, Our Lady of the Isles, Benbecula via Causeway, Downpour Gin, North Uist via Causeway, Struan House at Sollas ( excellent )
Day 4 – North Uist to Lewis
Berneray via Causeway, Ferry to Harris, Tarbert, Crust Like That Pizza ( must order early ), Westend at Achmore ( Really helpful )
Day 5 – Lewis to Butt of Lewis
Calanais Stones, Ness Lighthouse, Cross Inn ( Excellent )
Day 6 – Butt of Lewis to Ullapool
Stornaway, Stornaway Castle, Lewis Chessmen, Hub Cafe ( Bike ), Ferry to Ullapool, Lochbroom Lodge ( amazing views )
Day 7 – Ullapool to Inverness
Bridge of Ord, Beauly Firth, Inverness Castle, Ivanhoe B&B ( good ), Mangrove Indian restuarant ( Highly recommended )
Day 8 – Invernesss to Warrington
Train to Glasgow, Train to Warrington
