Raced at Astely & Tyldesley on the 28th August, the top 16 qualifiers met on a damp but mild day to contest for this years British Champions jersey. Reigning Champ Paul Heard (Birmingham) lined up against a host of former winners including Ben Mould (Newport), Zac Payne (Kesgrave), Lee Aris (Wednesfield), Josh Brooke (Great Blakenham) and Gavin Wheeler (Poole). Amongst the qualifiers was a host of new talent racing in their 1st senior final, Torsten Jolly, Charlie Parr, Kenzie Bennett, Noah Woodhouse and newly crowned Under 16 champion Ryker Jolly all wanted to make a name for themselves. With Reece Pollitt (Bury), Aaron Smith (Poole), Ben Clarke (Ipswich), Will Jeffery (Birmingham) and Matt Hill (Ipswich) all thrown in, a cracking meeting was in store. It didn’t disappoint.
