Hey everyone,
TLDR first 🙂
Had AC Joint reconstruction surgery (Grade 3 – left shoulder), somehow during sleep I changed laying on my left side, woke up with light pain. Fast forward, I might have ruptured my AC joint again…
Now the whole story 🙂
On August 14th 2024 I an accident with my Gravelbike where I ruptured my AC Joint at Grade 3 (1st picture)
On August 30th I had surgery (Tight-Rope).
The surgery was successful, no pain in the weeks after 🙂
On October 16th I was allowed to remove the bandage and slightly move my shoulder to 90 degrees.
About the 3rd of November I woke up with pain in the area of the AC Joint (woke up on the left side so that could be why?)
On the evening I still had slight pain so I checked in the mirror and then I saw that the bump from the end of the clavicula was again there… (2nd picture)
Fast forward, had another x-ray and there you can see that the left clavicula is slightliy higher than the right one… (3rd and 4th picture)
One PT said to me that it‘s now comparable with an grade 2 injury (which wouldn‘t need surgery)
My question:
Am I making to many thoughts about this?
Is another surgery to fix this even a good idea or should I just bite the bullet and live with the bump?
Will the bump ever go away with the right treatment?
Hopefully my german-english is understandable 😅
