For those further west and further east of Ukraine – If you are a male soldier who has a problem with women being on the battlefield I am not going to call nonsense on your thoughts – a lot of those those will almost certainly be correct and the simple fact is the average woman has no real chance in a fight with even the most basic male – no point arguing, you would be correct in that but the women who are given the chance to rise above the average woman recruit and if they have the willpower to do so they can perhaps meet most of the requirements of an average male soldier. They can shoot just as accurately as males given the training and equipment and the round leaving the barrel of their weapone enroute to penetrating a zombie has no idea it was a woman or a man who loaded it and fired it and doesn't care – it's a random bit of metal nothing more.
I only have reservations about women in the trench. Okay on defensive duties as long as their aim is good and their head is clear and cool. In attack – sorry best left to the men unless the female is in a support role such as mortar, sniper, or maybe out on a flank giving suppression support, getting ammo up to the lads who have to use the bayonet or grenade etc. I have real doubts about women who may be involved hand to hand with the Zombies. Almost every other role why not use a woman? If she is willing and she is capable of it then let her do her duty. If she does not have that capability then there's no disgrace, there are men who also do not meet the standards, they, both the weaker males and the females can be just as effective in all manner of support roles and still capable of putting a hole in a zombie if it's ever required of them. A superman in the trenches soon becomes ineffective if he has no ammo/batteries/food/water/grenades/tourniequets/bandages etc he will only ever be as good as those supporting him allow him to be and he will tire very quickly – superman will always need, eventually, somebody to stand watch while he repairs his kit/eats/takes care of hygiene/repairs minor wounds/cleans his weapons, refills his mags. Most professional soldiers will tell you it is a team effort from the clerk back at headquarters who arranges he gets something to the depot clerk who sends the item to the driver who gets it forward to the mechanic who ensures that vehicle is road worthy to the signallers who informs the front trench the item is on it ways and when they can expect it to the infantryman/artilleryman/tankman who receives what he/she needs to continue in the fight – a team the superhero at the front is fucked if the clerk at headquarters fucks up!
I'll leave you with this – which is more useful to the survival of Ukraine an 18 year old female willing to stay in Ukraine, do what she feels is her duty and stand and shoot in the direction of the Zombies or the 23 year old body building, martial arts black belt, macho male who has run to the west because he has no intention of ruining his perfect torso on the battlefield of his country and now he speaks the language and has a girlfriend who has not yet worked out what a piece of shit he is for abandoning his people and he has a good job who have not worked out yet he will desert them the first time they need him to step and do something.
I think I know what your answer would be because I know which I'd choose.
