I've just ordered a Temple road frameset. It's a Reynolds 853 steel frame with road geometry, clearance for 35mm tires, disc mounts and a retro look. I also picked up a set of Hunt alloy aero wheels on sale. I'm not a fan of carbon due to it's disposable nature. I'd like to complete this bike with a 2x setup with road gearing. My area has some decent mountain roads to climb as well. Preferably 50/34 up front and 11/34 rear.
I'm struggling to decide what groupset to put on this bike. Do I go full retrogrouch and put on 11/12s bar end friction shifters? Or, go the easy route and put on a 105 mechanical group. Last option would be 105 di2 with hydro brakes.
What would you do? Im open to out of the box suggestions.
