The weather had been pretty grim all day with persistent rain but I needed to get to Todmorden come hell or high water…. Here is my account of what happened and the reasons why – I’m a cyclist and I live in the Pennines…

  1. It’s flooding more and more, and I heard they want to sell flood plains and build houses on them in Littleborough. Insanity — that area is going to get worse and worse and worse with climate change — it needs MORE flood defenses!

  2. Here in Cumbria, my Ebike, my dag and mysel, took one look at the Weather,
and we ALL Refused to go Outside!!
Im thinking of investing in a kayak, and team of huskies with a Sled!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

  3. Good to see you taking care of loved ones and making it work for you. Important this time of year to be making the extra effort to get out. I'm manly on my 29er MTB at the moment. Cycled over to Sheffield off road in the snow the other day. Epic ride! I'm off the end of the month if the weather breaks give me a shout and we'll get out.

  4. Lovely video Daz, there was a bit of a lull in the weather around 11pm last night and I think that prevented any major flooding round here. There will be plenty of water around for my Monday ride though.

  5. I noted that on a previous video you said “I Love it” and looking at the state of the roads and the dangers encountered I would agree 100% a proper tough old Lancashire Lad 🥇🚴‍♂️🎥🥶💦☔️🌧️💪

  6. I was staying at Todmorden a few years ago, and sirens 🚨 started going off was a worrying sound. I asked a local what was going off, and they said a flood warning ⚠️ great video. Your mums got a good lad.
