In May I set out on a 2 day adventure across Ireland, travelling by train from Dublin to Galway, and then cycling back to Mullingar. The main purpose of this was for a test adventure before I set out for a week-long adventure across the Alps (video coming soon). It served its purpose and I learned plenty!
I lost access to maps and ended up blindly navigating as the sun began to set to try and find anywhere to camp. A very difficult task in Ireland which is nothing more than a patchwork of farms, unsuitable for camping. Ireland only has 2% of land designated as forest, and just 0.2% of land as our original biome of temperate rainforest.
At the end of an extremely long day with little food I followed a rainbow until I stumbled upon such a rainforest. Delirious with tiredness and hunger, it was a very special time being transported to such a magical place.

This was a very peaceful and humbling watch, more people should follow their rainbows. 💚
That was brilliant, thanks mate
On my first ever bike camping trip, i cycled from Tullamore to St. Johns Wood and camped at that exact spot. Really nice woodland. Great video!

Again an excellent video.
Good to see some of Ireland and the scenes.
Keep it up and more please
those first few nights of any trip are usually sleepless
Hey lad, I noticed you sporting an “Algonquin Park” hat. We have plenty of wilderness over here in Ontario. Cheers from Gary in Ontario. Thanks for taking us along.😊
Roared with laughter when you took that dip😅
Lube that chain please. 1:53
What a great video to watch. A lovely feeling to it. Ireland perfectly shown to us. Good man. Delightful.
Ahhh… so beautiful! My mom’s family is Scots-Irish, and I can definitely see why so many settled here in the similar landscapes of Tennessee and Kentucky! 🌳 And we have miles and miles of those rock walls as well. As a farm kid, I remember picking up cart-fulls of stone off a pasture that we then turned into a strawberry field – the worst summer ever! Lol
Really enjoyed the video very inspirational for me and cant wait to have a go myself soon 👍🍀
I'm planning the same journey… Well done lads..was there plenty of room on the train for bikes
Ahh…the wonders of getting lost.
Lovely Mark. The last piece of music. Who and what was it please.
I dont comment on videos very often but really enjoyed that. Beautiful shots, music and editing. Really makes me want to do a trip like that!
