There are new questions about the security of the royal family after a recent burglary at Windsor Castle where Prince William and Princess Kate live with their three children. It’s the second time burglars have managed to break into the castle in recent years. NBC’s Kelly Cobiella reports for TODAY.

  1. Jailed for 9 years for assassination attempt on the queen? Someone does that to an average citizen here and they’re going away for much longer. If they attempt to assassinate the president, they’ll never see daylight again.

  2. So, if protected family is so vulnerable, could we please think about the safety of Harry and Meghan when in the UK? With Trump being re-elected, Harry may not have a stable home in the US.

It's awful to have your home broken into but I don't think that any of the royal family deserve that kind of 24-hour protection protection from what, they have no real power so what would be the benefit of kidnapping somebody in the Royal family, their power is just for show, so there is no real gain. I think the castle for sure deserves 24/7 security for all the priceless art and things there but why do they need it, seems like just one more thing the UK wastes their money on, when that money could go to groups of people (homeless, addicted, mentally ill ) and programs that really need the money
