Price appreciation data based on repeat-sales index of historical Post-War & Contemporary Art market prices from 1995 to 2023, developed by Masterworks. There are significant limitations to comparative asset class data. Indices are unmanaged and a Masterworks investor cannot invest directly in an index.
Aggregate net investor proceeds represents the total liquidation proceeds distributed back to investors, net of all fees, expenses and proceeds reinvested in Masterworks offerings, of all works Masterworks has exited to date. This metric is not considered a presentation of performance but rather a mathematical figure that displays a platform metric on size, scale, and operation of the platform.
Art sales price data is comparative only. Each painting is unique and historical data is not a direct proxy for any specific painting or investment. Data represents whole art not an investment into our offerings which includes fees and expenses. Past sales are not indicative of future results.

  1. Again that old tale. No they did not say "schild en vriend" (shield and friend), they cried "des gilden vriend" (friend of the guilds), as the guilds were the main supporters of the Flemish count.

  3. Jan Breydel, the lion of Flanders. The Club Brughes football arena is called the Jan Breydel stadium. Definitely Flemish folklore, partially boosted in fame by the book "De witte van Zichem" by Ernest Claes.

  4. Jean the Burlat and Godfrey de Brabant : show plans to wear the Flemish troops out These plans will help us gain victory over the Flemish peasants
Rest of the war council: That's for schoolgirls. draw a 'plan' for an all-out assault Now here's a plan with some chest hair!

  5. As your video suggested, the french retrouped after their fefeat. When did they come back. It would be a good topic for a future video. cheers.

  6. I am flemish/ Belgian and when saying “goedendag” you say it like “good” not like “hooten” it also sounds more like the german word “gutendag”

  7. I know people say the french being cowards is a myth because of their military history. But i would argue that the french might like napoleon and charlemagne are the exceptions. Battles like this are all too common in french history. French are superior, french feel superior, french get stopped by inferior troop, french run. Its a continuous loop of france believing they are impervious. The maginot was the exact same thing.

  8. and flanders still isn't free, F%ck france, the french, and all french administrative speaking countries (from Canada to Marocco & beyond). the french are still colonialists pushing their language down my throat.

  9. French! It astounds? 1302… french nobility running down the crossbowmen… 1346…. French nobility running over the allied crossbowmen … 1356… French nobility charging at Poitiers… all dismal failures in a doomed dick measuring contest.

  10. Goedendag, as a Dutch, i think you pronounced Goedendag, Wijnaarden en Jan van Renesse very well. Even if it might be a computer voice. Een goede avond nog.
