Part 8: The “In Search of Chateaux, Wine, and Croissants” tour sees us stop for a couple of nights in Surmur. There’s a wealth of things to do and explore here. As we’ve been before, we looked for something different and the Apple museum (yes really) didn’t disappoint. Adding in the big winery of Ackerman, a troglodyte village and a troglodyte tavern, was a great way to finish our time in the Loire. Any idea how to work that bread machine? Absolutely fantastic. You’ve really rekindled our love of the Loire region. We first visited early 90’s and the wine is just so beautiful! Fascinating trip Chris and Rachel – the troglodyte caves were spooky but the winery amazing!
