Description
Please join us as we discuss our most recent Committee on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) blast, which included four reports from four different countries. Les Hagen, ASH Canada, will discuss his experience with the process and the tobacco issues that prevent the full realization of women’s rights in Canada. Emmanuelle Beguinot, Comité National Contre le Tabagisme (CNCT), will join us to present the material from the French report, submitted last year. And Nikitia Poole, Health Funds for Smoke-Free Netherlands, will present on plans for an upcoming report on the Netherlands. Kelsey Romeo-Stuppy, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), will discuss recent advocacy to the Committee, specifically at an informal briefing in October of this year, as well as highlight our past and future efforts to influence CEDAW.
