Today I took my new Canyon Grizl:On Fly CF 7 out for its first spin, and I’m absolutely thrilled! Decided to cruise through Coronado, California, with some stunning views of the water and skyline. The bike performed even better than I could have hoped—smooth, responsive, and a total joy to ride.

Stats for the ride:
• Distance: 17.53 miles
• Elevation Gain: 58 ft
• Moving Time: 56:25
• Average Speed: 18.7 mph
• Max Speed: 29.6 mph

To top it off, I set a new PR for 20K on my very first ride! The bike’s versatility and speed are unreal, and it handled everything from smooth paths to coastal winds like a champ.

However, I kept getting an error for the cadence sensor throughout the ride. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Grizl:On or similar bikes? Any troubleshooting tips or fixes? I’m wondering if it’s a sensor alignment issue or if there’s something else I should check.

Here’s a snapshot of the ride and a quick shot of my bike enjoying the view. Looking forward to more adventures and breaking more PRs!

Any tips from fellow gravel/e-bike riders or must-ride routes around Southern California? Would love to hear your thoughts!
