In the beggining of August, I bought this, pretty much all original, Columbia Super lll. The owner was unnable to give more information other than the painting is original, its probably from the 1960's, that it was imported from the USA to Brazil and that his father used to collect these bicycles and now could use for a less clutered house. Becausse he simply wants to get rid of them, he was selling them for dirty cheap, like, a total steal.
I fell in love immediatly. The steel frame feels as if it can survive a head on collision with a bus. Its surprisingly confortable, I wasn't expecting the level of confort I felt in the trip back home. I jas giglling to myself out of pure happines the entire 10 Km trip home, and the fixed gear makes it go in a perfect speed for a casual cyclist like myself as well as allowing me to go slighty faster if needed.
Only the seat, tires, bell and the bags are not original, literally everything else is.
I already looked everywhere but I just cannot find the serial number anywhere and I really want to know what year this bad boy was made.
Does anybody knows where I can find it along with a table/list/document that associates the number with the year?
Some other things:
– I don't know the name but the breaks are that type where you need to pedal backwards.
– It has a single gear
– I think it's supposed to have some sort of front ornament abole the wheel but it did not came with it.
Thanks for the help 🙂
