Hi /r/bikepacking – managed to get my hands on this first run romanceur which is unlugged and a perfect fit for me. However, the chain is rusted, and the components are in desperate need of updating. Currently has sunrace r80 parts – so I’m looking for recommendations of a groupset to go to. I’m leaning towards Shimano parts but wanted to see what I can buy right, and not twice. Grx seems a bit expensive right now, so what works for you? If you transitioned from Shimano to campy/SRAM, tell me about why?!
Looking forward to building this up – I’m hoping to get a trip in before the PNW rain hits!
