In the summer of 2017, our family returned to Europe to do another awesome bike tour. We started in Amsterdam and bicycled 800 km in a circle to Brussels and back to Amsterdam. This part of the bike tour takes us from Ghent to Brussels.

  1. Fantastic videos – and a great experience for you all. I did something similar in 2017 riding from Dunkirk in France up to Amsterdam – then doing a couple of rides while I was there (all solo). Such a great place for riding. I've got a few videos out there documenting my ride and your videos have helped inspire me do it all over again. 2018 is all booked up and ready to go. Roll on June 18 2018!

  2. I too enjoyed your tour! Between Gent and Brussels (or everywhere else in BE or NL) you should have followed the "fietsknooppunten", these are advised bike routes indicated by numbered plates at certain intersections (in your vid at 5.12 you can see such an octagonal white plate on the left). And driving in Brussels is like hell. A Belgian.

  3. Hi. I’ve just found your videos and discovered that we will be overlapping part of your route in late May/early June. We are doing the reverse of this part of your trip and our plans take us along the LF2 out of Brussels, then RUV, LF2,LF5…going thru Mechelen, Dendermonde over 2 days. I see that you did Gent to Brussels in one day, can you tell me which routes you took?
