In the third part of my gravel bikepacking adventure in Swedish Lapland I stumble upon the most venomous snake in Europe, the European Viper. I follow small gravel road and finally make my way to the end destination of this journey, Piteå. Where I load my bike into the back of a bus and make my way back home.

We had a nice week-long tour of Gotland, wild camping and getting water at churches. It was windy and rainy, but was still a really nice tour to see ruins and coastlines. Thanks for all the advice in your videos, it helped!
Håller sig räkosten fräsch i värmen? Jag gjorde min första långtur för en månad sedan. Då kokade jag nudlar, alternativ tog en korv från någon mack till frukost. Mjukost låter klart godare 😊
I thought you met Charles Michel when I read the captions. I’m always more afraid of the poisonous snake I can’t see lol
Cheers
Hej Mike, just back from a weekend camping. My thermocell seemed to work well, although it could have been the torrential rain. We had squeezy cheese this weekend, but no ice cream for breakfast (too cold). We have lots of snakes in this part of the world, but I've not seen an Adder for a couple of years. I noticed you were sitting alone on the bus, were you a bit stinky??
We now have beer cans with Pant 1 Kr on them but don't get money back.
I really enjoyed this bikepacking series, hope to see the Vitus out again soon. Much Love Ed
Looks like a nice trip. Nice snake sighting. I've seen some venomous snakes here in Florida when bikepacking but not often.
Nice video Mike! Yeah I’m starting my first bike tour on the 4th of September 😊. And it’s gonna be from Sweden to South Africa! 🇸🇪🇿🇦. Thanks for the useful tips I’ve found on your channel. 👍
Makes me want to go biking! Tack! Piteälven är vacker.
We have adders here in Scotland Mike they don't seem to mind bikes or at least don't feel the vibration they can grow to quite a big size amazing colours if you go up a single track mountain pass (bealach) on a warm evening you can see lots of them sprawled out along the road side. I have a couple of weeks coming up so I'm heading around the N Coast. Next spring I'm hoping to do Spain France maybe keep going up north for the summer
My son and I did 120 mi ride over 2 days in July. Got a few long rides planned for August and hopefully in September a 300 mile ride across the state of Wisconsin, from LaCrosse to Milwaukee. It will be almost entirely on bike trails.
Dear Mike, i am in the middle of my bike tour (already 20 days on the road) in western Greece. Up and downhills continiously, forests, beautiful villages, warm people. Tomorrow l will take the ferry from Patras to Italy to meet a friend there for 15 more days of bike touring. Your videos are simpe but beautiful and at times, very useful. Thank you!
..simple..
We've been sick with what-not-to-be-named up to the end of May, so we could barely get to our village house in the end if June because of recovery… Bad thing I should say :(.. This summer is not bicycle one for me. And here in Moscow the heat was (and still is) exhausting, I think twice wether I bike or not… Waiting for good autumn, but I'm actually a pessimist…
Eftersom jag har ormfobi är jag väldigt tacksam för heads up i thumbnailen 😅
Very nice Video and panorama mate…
Hi Mike. What do you carring in that fork bags?
thanks for your video, we will follow your next cycling adventures!
Thank you so much dear MICHAEL I enjoyed your videos. GOD bless you where ever you are
Mike is one of my main go to guys for good videos during the down months
This is a really good series, Mike. Thanks for creating and sharing it.
One question-are you using your regular touring bike with the new Ortlieb set up or is this another bike? The reason I ask is that I'm thinking about using my Trek 520 to do some bike packing.
Btw, I really like Eirk Normark videos too and you're right, he's terrific. That said, yours are pretty awesome too. My wife, who doesn't usually pay much attention to the videos I'm watching, watched this series and liked it-she's a "Bike Touring Mike" fan! Thanks again for taking us along with you and inspiring us.
Great bike tour and scenery. Love the music selections that fit in so nicely along the ride.
Dankjewel voor deze video.
Hi Mike, another great video !
I don't know how you can put up with those damn mosquitos ? If you ever do a tour in the Örebro area, your welcome at our place.
Neil.
