My dream MTB trail build has begun – UK’s best slopestyle line! UK’s first public slopestyle course comes to life at Twisted Oaks bike park, in this episode we build the start drop and first jump before riding, would you hit this?

The UK’S first year round slopestyle course has started to take shape at the amazing Twisted Oaks Bike Park in Suffolk, UK. I’ve always wanted a mountain bike slopestyle line to ride throughout the year and when I told the guys at the bike park they jumped on the idea and now the build has started. This will be a multi part series where you will see the build process and development of this sick slopestyle line come to life. You will also get a chance to have your input because this will actually be open to the public so you’ll be able to come over and test your skills! This first episode see’s the build of the first drop and then into the first jump where you see some crashes and test jumps on the Britain’s only slopestyle line!

I hope you enjoy the video!

  1. I think that is Increads that you are going Hard for the MTB people of the UK getting a slope style course under way seeing as the OrchRad had to go😢 I definitely hope that I get the chance one day to come over the seas and Shred Hard. Thanks heaps to the Twisted Oaks Crue for working their Butts off to make the Dream a reality Roll on Sam✌🏼Out

  2. Love that you are just like "dang would be nice" and people just jump up to make it happen! Only the best for the best!

JK I'm sure it was a lot more then that lol.

  3. I'm surprised you don't have any tattoos. Any reason why?

EDIT: One more question. I ride the same shoes you do and for some reason it kills my big toe after a while. Do you have that problem? Or do you happen to know a fix?

  4. Idea for the straight and corner: For the straight ionno if its big enough for like a snowboard style pipe. but that could be cool, maybe just a roller for speed into a big like 70dagree hip… but like, have the take off be a quarter that is dug into the landing a bit? Like a step up style hip? Is that a thing? Anyway thats my idea.

Well thinking about it a bit more, you could do a left to right transfer, into a berm with a jump out of the berm as well. So basically like jumping from the left side of the track into the right side, into a deep berm, and into another little half a hip jump out. Giving more chances for unique tricks on something that isn't seen very often. I feel like I should draw my idea and send it in.. Got a place to send sketch's?

  5. I think for the long section after the step up you could make a series of 1/4 pipes almost like a ski half pipe, that you can go up and down back and forth across the trail all the way to the big 1/4 pipe at the corner

  6. Sam, i think that after the jump you just built you should bulid a massive hip that changes the track 90°, then it should flow into a left berm, into a massive shark fin in to a step up, then there should be a massive whale tale like the one at rogate bike park (DMR line) 🎉

  7. Can you do more downhill riding gnarly trails ?? Always playing with some jump line shit let’s see you bust out some fast laps on a nice dh trail get on it !!!!

  8. I feel that a racer onto a sharky from left to right, into an elevated left berm/wallride to step down would work dreams 😬

  9. Hi Sam, perhaps it makes sense to use a special liquid that prevents the wood from decaying. At least for wood that are down on the ground. This will extend you track's life.

  10. Shark fin change between the landing and berm with a gap in the middle so you can get some sick photos of one person jumping over another person and it would set you up perfectly for the berm if you did the shark fin transition from right to left

  11. That berm would be perfect for Semenuk-esque radar dish, to come in from the left and track 270 around to exit in the new direction. That's some video game kind of stuff, though. Maybe a fast roller like the one on the Silver Star slopestyle course above the drop? The course that Matt Macduff and Brett Rheeder built? So maybe a fast roller like the Silver Star one, angling the track around into a berm-wall ride-shark fin feature to get you out onto the track moving back in the opposite direction.

  12. Yes Leopardhead!! I love that you've teamed up with Twisted Oaks to make this, good on ya! Rather than a quarter pipe as the next feature, i would love to see a gap to wallride, either a curved one or set at 45degrees on the corner. This is a feature we used to see in a lot of videos and slopestyle comps back in the days but not so much recently. Would look so cool in the forest making it out of wood like the start drop and next takeoff. Whatever you decide we all know it's gonna be EPIC!!!

  13. You should build a scrub jump after the landing (kinda like the boob at swatch nines) then fat hip or quarter pipe at the end before the second part of the course 🙂 I love your vids Sam! Keep up the great content

  14. hey sam, i think that you should make a big left handed quarter pipe with a dirt landing, then behind it as a alternate option you could put like a verticle berm behind it. hopes this gives a good idea.

  15. The quater pipe is only good if that’s the way you do it. If you naturally go right it won’t work for half the people. You could have a jump up on to a big left handed wall ride made from timber. Sort of like the one at Leogang. 🤙🏻
