ℹ️ About the Episode: This is part 3 of our 4-part mini-series in Paris, France, as Trish attends Le Cordon Bleu for bread-making. Although not everyone is looking for a traveler’s guide to living in Paris, perhaps you’re curious about what it’s like to create a new routine abroad and how we overcome some of our concerns such as safety, culture or the language barrier. In this episode, we met up with “Les Frenchies,” or Antoine and Colleen Dupont as we know them now. They have a popular YouTube channel on everything Paris, so we turned to them for answers in preparation for our trip. We were fortunate enough to be able to connect in Paris so they could share their thoughts on KYD. Plus, we joined them for dinner at their home to make authentic German bread with their good friend Makala.

Omg how beautiful the pictures I thank you for sharing I’ll never be able to go but you’ve brought this to our home absolutely beautiful 😢😢😢😢thank you
Our May in Paris had many of the same conclusions. The people were wonderful, the ease of getting around, Tap to Pay everywhere and much more. Our Versailles experience was shared with wayyy tooo many people. Good job there. As always, great videos.
Always a treat!
How fun was that! It was a delight to play, bake & drink with you both in Paris. Let's do it again!!
Small correction for anyone going to Paris: The fresh market with the fried chicken was "Marché Grenelle" near the Eiffel Tower 😁
So entertaining. ❤
Wow…. Amazing!!!
I’m wanting that bread recipe! I’ve never made bread with yeast, but that looks easy.
Any European chocolate is better than what you (laughingly) call chocolate in the US.
Absolutely fantastic video! Your film-making skills are incredible! I have been totally immersed in this series! Thank you for making us feel like we were there with you! ❤
Been meaning to say – Trish doesn’t need to attend culinary school, she should be teaching there. I have her cookbook. Hope to run into you guys at some point so I can get her to sign it, if she will.
Oh, and I forgot to applaud you on the Lindt discovery. We did as well and can recommend the Citron bars either with crème filling or infused. We have a Lindt store here in Toulouse and they kinda recognize us now. Good, bad? No judgement zone here at KYD.
So much fun! My husband and I started off our "Keep Your Daydream" inspired adventure in Paris! We sold our businesses and our home and began travelling the world. Three years later we can't count how many great experiences we've had travelling together but, of course, we'll always remember Paris…..💕
I want to go there for the food experience! Wow!
Thank you so much.
really enjoying this series!
Marc, you are amazing. The videography, the music, the editing. Stellar work. I suppose it makes it easier when you have the most beautiful, charming, poised heroine as your lead.
What a delightful episode! Thank you for sharing the bit about Google Maps and the train; I had no idea! Bonjour!
Wonderful episode ❤❤❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this. I have been to Paris Once in the seventies. Great Job KYD Charley from Ocala
Is the palace of Versailles worth seeing in the winter. We’re going in December.
You both are so awesome. Love the videos! Love that you are Phoenicians, too
Paris? they don't like Americans, it is dirty, parts of it really not safe, you can smell urine all over city, very rude people. read and learn about their showering behavior in the palaces they lived in…
What a fun episode 🎉 We were smiling all the way through it. Excellent job on the videography, content, including Les Frenchies! How fun was that. It brought back so many of our experiences of our recent trip to Paris, Normandy, St. Michel, Bordeaux. The people, the breads, the markets, the bikes, the traffic! We laughed about being the first in at every restaurant. We knew we had acclimatized when after a couple weeks in France we realized we 0:02 were finishing up dinner at 9:30pm. The streets and cafes were all full of people as we walked back to our apartment and went to bed 😂
That Rapid Reward Chase Visa you have on your phone charges a foreign transaction fee as I found out.
This was an incredibly fun an interesting to watch. I look forward to more videos of your trip in France. The city looks very clean . I had heard from friends that went to Paris that it was not a clean City. The people seem to be very cordial and welcoming.
Where can we find Makala's cookbook?
@ 3:57 Marc's outfit totally coordinated with the decor 😅
Yep. Totally agreeing with your Versailles Strategy. Lots of people love to see it!
The French don't mind speaking English with Americans typically. However, they're not so fond of speaking English with the English! 🤣
Lived in the U.K., Switzerland, and Germany and traveled extensively in Ireland, the UK., France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark on business working for an American company. I worked with their dealers so had the opportunity to go to off the beaten path places and see non-tourist things. The only place I was pickpocketed was on the Champs Elysees. They got my hip wallet but I carried everything of value in a wallet in my inside jacket pocket. They only got my US driver’s license and a Sears card. I had six years of French in high school and college and was fortunate to have a teacher who went to the Sorbonne so I got a good idea of real expressions and accents. When the American company wanted to transfer me to Germany, I made one condition that they send me to language school. My boss was German and he readily agreed. They sent me to Berlitz one on one immersion. The Germans I dealt with were really appreciative of my effort, knowing that the German grammar is a killer.
This video is giving me “Mr Rogers”-vibes! And I love it! Informative+entertaining! Sort of like when he took us on field trips to see how books were made or something! Long live Mr R! 💪🏼🇺🇸
Nicely done
What a riot!
Glad to see Les Frenchies. Also glad you didn't do them like you did Traveling Robert and stick them in the background.
Mark and his Bonjours 😆😂🤣 to every statue and sharing this tip and app. Bonjour will never be the same for me.
Mark, what brand is your tan jacket?
