Have you heard of Active Travel? It’s all about getting around under your own steam such as walking or cycling.
And it forms a key part of how we want to improve our transport network and help people live healthier and greener lives.
We hosted Olympic cycling icon and now commissioner for Active Travel England Chris Boardman to meet with leading stakeholders in the West Midlands.
It was vital for us to help share best practices for cycling and walking infrastructure, how to deliver high-quality schemes and how to integrate these into our transport network.
