Today, I joined for other Brompton writers who live around the DC metro area for a monthly meet up ride. Today, we met, and did a hilly 18 mile ride starting at the Robin Hill Vineyards in lower PG County/St Mary’s County Maryland. Learn more of the vineyard here https://www.robinhillfarmandvineyards.com/wine-tasting-events

After starting out at the Vineyard, we biked a little more than 6 miles to a place called Old Time World, a museum filled with antique cars and boats. The curator and his wife were absolutely wonderful host giving us a tour of the entire facility. Really some neat things there (and there’s definitely an excuse to go back that direction as there are several more stories that we were not told.). Learn more about them at oldtimeworld.com

From there, we took the (slightly more downhill) way back to the Vineyard where we enjoyed a food truck, and some excellent wines from the Vineyard. Our host from the museum also joined us, and gave us a few more stories about the area and his collection.

At the time that I am writing this, I still have about 2/3 of the photos that I took, which are still uploading. But that’s cool, I need to go back through and tag many of those correctly so that they go to the appropriate photography groups on Flickr.

If you are in the DC area and looking for fellow Brompton riders, or if you’re just visiting the area and you want to hang out with a few other folks who like to ride Brompton’s, you can check out the meat up channel here https://www.meetup.com/brompton-dc/ or, they are definitely some places on Facebook where folks are hanging out as well. (I’m not on Facebook, so I would have to defer to others).
