What does it look like when pedestrians, scooters, bicycles, motorbikes, cars, buses and trains work together to transport people? Do you really need expressways cutting across a city in order to decongest? I cycled 78 km within Brussels and explored how it is to move around by bicycle. This is what it looks and feels like.
Keeping right, obeying traffic lights and cyclists as priority over cars, let’s learn together and grow Africa in our own way.

Do are you conversant with the place utapotea mosse
Hehehe come from “keep left” to “keep right” is a tricky business 😂 it’s easy to get used to it though. Walking in the city even more tricky 😅. Btw laws in Germany; regarding usage of bike lanes, roadbikes are not included. They exceed 25 km/h in speed… I’m not sure how it is in Belgium. Since you are staying there for long you may want to cycle the Amstel gold route at least some part of it. It’s 218kms long😛
Sasa tupeleke ocha za uko…. tafuta elevation🤐🤐
Are you allowed to visit Netherlands i.e. Amsterdam via Antwerp and Breda? I know they are more stricter than EU countries in Netherlands but it's not too far depends on how many days you have and if they let you in through the border (covid restrictions?). Have a look at Google maps for the suggested route. It would be an amazing cycle ride and you could perhaps take the train back? If you do decide do let me know my brother lives in Breda he is from Kenya and he cycles a lot, he would be delighted to see you.
It is weird not hearing your whistle 🤣 some of us got used to it.
Where are other human beings?
An electric tram, and a Volvo😄. Man's gone international. Happy for you sir.
Are you riding a specialised? 🙆♂️
I like your reaction after the cyclist at 0:35 snubbed your greetings, and you decided to focus on your ride. Beautiful scenery and thanks for sharing it.
restaurants are taking the cycling paths !!!!!!… no BIG difference with Ngong rd where motorist , boda and hawkers takes the paths
Good to see to see you on the bike. Enjoy Brussels
Nice visit, thanks. Yes, it was a Sunday morning, but still I found the town so quite (comparatively to Nairobi).
That city is different. Whaat! Was it on a public holiday or a Sunday? .. They are practically no people..Where are they? Very beautiful city that one.Stars should align I do such a thing.. Very heartwarming video this one. Thank you!
Wow, great stuff Moses as usual, Europe seems like a cyclist's dream…..How easy is it to 'import' your bicycle? Any taxes, declarations?
I know your quite unsure wether ro speed up or just take it easy from the way your riding over there hahahaha
That looked good. A bit quieter than Nairobi! I notice the war memorial for 1st and 2nd World Wars. That country really suffered in both wars. 😢
well well well, Amira the Moses of Cycling I like how you are doing you abroad. I feel well represented by you there. I was worried for once that you would not be cycling while there but then look at you you just couldn't find peace to stay out of it. Our prayers are with you. I am expecting more from you in your videos to see what that country has to offer in an african eye like yours. It will be tough to adjust but again its easy now that you don't have to fight for space like back at home. I am basically following you everywhere just like I did with Martin Ngonchi when he went to Europe just to not be left behind with the updates. Meanwhile me and my friends are preparing for Mombasa, for me it will be the second time this year and in my life doing it. Cheers men.
Love how quiet the place is and less people on the streets but still looks safe…plus how people have kind of a simple life…didnt see no flashy cars…anyways never been to europe so i might be so wrong
How long are you there for? I would love to come ride with you but currently in Kenya.
I like how you are confident enough to cycle in a foreign city
I've been waiting to hear you shout "mfinyi" to the chaps going uphill. 🤣🤣
Nashangaa jamaa amedrop phone akarudishiwa, hiyo place iko kivyake kweli….
5:48 this climb is called "le mont des arts"
Nice video mate. Very useful for my up and coming trip to BEL.
Brussels has a bad reputation, particularly in bicycle infrastructure field, but it's changed a lot for the better the last couple of years. Still much work to do.
Good content manss
Hermosa ciudad, y la bici tb !
3:55 If it were in Hong Kong, most cyclists will run a red light
Brussels looks dead. Was it a public holiday or something?
