  1. So very true! The most charming cities in Germany are definitely not the major ones but smaller places, that survived WWII mostly intact. This is a good collection, though you could of course go on nearly forever. I was not to impressed by Stralsund. Some gems I have been to, to add to the list would be: Marburg and Einbeck but there are so many more to explore!
    Thanks for the list, I picked up a few more to visit next time I am in Germany.
