I had a fixie. They are great bikes….. I miss my fixie.
Cracked a road frame and the importer was resistant to replacing it (which it was after 6 months). So I put brakes on my track bike, and put a freewheel on one side of the rear hub. Trained, commuted and raced track fixed (brakes off for track), and race road single speed for a season. Never been stronger, fitter or pedalled better. Best I did racing road was third in a club race- sprints were hard work! A mate put flat bars on that fixie and he commutes daily on it!
They are better exercise
that legs is the real safety fr💀💀💀
Fixies are super fun, and huge props to people to slay on their fixie. But if you want to learn bike handling and skills get a BMX or a dirt jumper or a mountain bike and learn to hop, jump, endo, 180, manual, etc.
I mean I've had a lot of fun on a fixie, but at the same time, meh.
Sorry fixie dudes 🙂
Nice bike Connor! Hope that's yours and it's used from time to time!
I justed worked on a fixie, and from knowing the price, and noe the components they use: Do not buy one new. They literally use a pastic inner bearing, for a bike concept with a usecase that constitutes probably the hardest strain on an inner bearing of all bike types.
I get that cheap bike, will come witz cheap components, but theyre not that cheap. And the inner bearing they used is like 3$ new.
After riding two seasons on the track training and racing it improved my pedalling style, it really helps smooth out your pedalling. Funny training on the track then riding home on a road bike after training your legs felt odd. I can't recommend training racing on the track enough especially for anyone new to cycling
You can have a efficient pedaling in a normal road bike use your big chain ring in every ride without changing even in climb and you can have the similar effect.
hopping back onto a normal bike makes the pedals feel dead
N+1
100% was not the Baus. He would die there on purpose and not run
I'll will never ride a fixy bike… Never again. It's almost killed me 😮😮😮
Put SPD on a fixie and see this video is 100% right…
Fixed gear as in a 1x drivetrain ? Or just one gear in the rear cassette? (Im new to cycling)
Riding on a fixy is cycling on "hard mode," and that's why I like it, lol. Whenever I go back to my normal bike (single speed, gears are cringe), it's incredibly easy.
Why is no one talking about the fact that he is riding a fixie from decathlon??
Bet Conor could do fine after a month or two of daily riding to a full sweat on 52-14 fixed.
Is that midosouji in irl
Damn what size is that?
I tried a fixed gear bike and I couldn't get over the idea that it was bad for my knees as it seemed to pull down on my legs if I wasn't careful, also to slow down you have to pull up… I don't think we should be pulling loaded feet upwards with the knee joint.
Can we have fixie in cars as well ? Put it in the 6 gear and drive all the time 😂
Flip sake, another bike?!!
Homies femur is longer than my whole leg
How tall is this dude
This guy is so tall he makes just about every bicycle look like a kids bike, while seth of berm peak is so small, just about every bicycle makes him look like a kid.
I’ve got a bike with gears but it’s stuck on the second highest one
brakes on a fixie? cmon.
Bro is midousuji from yowamushi pedal
No problem. I will just lose the cables on my gear changers
I have a friend that ride fixed gear before now he race and ride roadbike.
war of the worlds type of legs. 👌
Can we please get this man a road bike frame that's actually sized for him?
Human height doesn't stop at 6'4". Getting stuff that fits is obscenely expensive, but this guy is a professional bike presenter; he should be presenting on something with geometry that's scaled to his leg stroke & rider area distance.
Fixie is too slim
Mtb better
Dude how much your bike is look like amazing
so if I fuck up the freewheel of my other bike and just dont shiftr id get the same experience?
Love riding fixed. It's addictive, and the feeling of control, and the bike being alive will always feel refreshing.
the camera man needs to change the angle cause it looks like he has a pole up his ass lmfao
Eyyy from Philippines and we have same frame decathlon elops 500 right??? In ph its kinda rare to see these frame
dang your talllllllllllllll
Nothing but FACTS
I improved my bike handling by chasing my 4 year old round our tiny front garden on his balance bike
I am fixie user here
What is that bike, never seen one on sale from decathelon
Which bicycle is this and from which brand?
Road riding improves my track riding
uhhhhhh breaks??
That's not a very big bike but how tf y'all are you?!?
It sounds tempting, but unfortunately I could probably climb none of the five hills leading up to my house on a fixie. 🙁
