  1. This was a fantastic episode. I am close to retirement and one of my goals is to do a long tour like this. I have been researching frames and such for this and have been looking at getting a custom steel frame due to the ability of them to be easily fixed if needed. This confirms my approach frame wise. I love that he is looking at the world at a completely different point of view now having gotten out of the city. Well done young man.

  2. Ricci Pascoe was beating me in it's nearly 50 years ago. He, and his dad, are the best people in Cornish cycling. Ricci sponsors the team but doesn't even put the name of his bike shop on the shirt. If you want someone on the podcast get Ricci . I live and ride in Africa but that family are why I I am still cycling.

  3. What a trip what an incredible experience and look at the joy in the eyes when talking about the journey, it’s not all about sighing up to the mainstream, great listen

  4. Those “fake bike” are not high end super bikes but 100% safe if you know the brand. They came from one of the biggest bike factory in China and still sell those frame online nowdays. They are a bit out of date tho.

  5. So inspiring – New cyclist here, and I already love being on the bike. This makes me think about it very differently. Truly refreshing. I think in the age of strava segments, and being online all the time, the intrepid cyclist is fresh breath of air. Great interviewing too you two.

  6. What about those of us that started cycling as a tourist and then got into racing, "retired" from racing, and never really gave up touring/bikepacking? 😉
