You could see roundabouts and trafic as a big brain teaser . to make traffic flow as smooth and safe as possible . Old sim city and skylines. had tons of efficiency scores and heat maps on traffic jams . Solving it is quite satisfying .
There is a difference in priority between roundabouts inside and outside the city limits. This roundabout is within the city limits and the bicycles and pedestrians have priority. On roundabouts outside the city limits cars have priority.
YouTube has shortcuts. By pressing the "M" key on your keyboard the sound of a video is muted. By pressing the "J" and "L" key the video is rewinded 10 seconds back or forwarded with 10 seconds. The "K" or space bar is to pause the video.
you see on the car lanes shark teeth(haaientanden) which give priority to cyclist, that means cars must wait.
Nice video. Great comment 👍
Way too complicated got Americans. They only understand plain crossings with stop signs everywhere.
One thing to note is that the center of the roundabout, the greenery, is there to prevent sight line straight ahead. It blocks your sight, so it's easier to stop and look to your left and right rather than straight ahead. It's also safer, you shouldn't worry about what the cars on the opposite side of the roundabout are doing; you should only worry about the cars and cyclists at your immediate surroundings.
And the Americans can't figure out how it works
