A good trip but not without issues! Cancelled train meant a late arrival in Whitehaven the night before, gear issues on Day 1 plus wind and rain, Day 2 lots of big climbs with a loaded bike 🙁 Day 3 took longer than I thought so not much time to celebrate before catching train back home.
Lessons learnt:
– Get bike serviced before a big trip
– Take less stuff and get lighter gear (or book hostels etc)
– Stick to route planned on GPS or follow route signs (not both!)
