I’m travelling with my bike (2019 Ultimate CF SL 8) and was reassembling it today when I noticed this crack/fracture at the clamping area of the fork steerer tube. I purchased this bike used but have disassembled/reassembled it a few times now, and have not noticed it before. I’ve also always been careful to use a torque wrench to ensure that I don’t tighten more than the specified 5 Nm. Is this a safety issue? And any way to repair or at least slow the damage short of getting a replacement part? Appreciate any insight.
