  1. Hope so ad uk are a bunch of alcholicd as every weekend people get drunk every weekend people get drunk every weekend people get ready for the weekend by getting ready to get drunk time

  2. The government would lose approximately £13.5 billion to £14.5 billion annually if smoking were banned and pubs closed.

This figure doesn’t account for potential knock-on effects, such as job losses, reduced income tax revenue, and broader economic impacts.

  3. This story starts with the question, 'are pubs going to be forced to CLOSE early" – only to turn around and say that pub OPENING times won't change.
Am I really the only one who picked up on the switch in the story line??

  4. I'm a smoker. My cigarette tax and my NI goes to prop up the NHS. If and when I need help in my elderly years I expect to be treated. If that is not the case then scrap the NHS and let me pay for my healthcare off my own back.

It isn't up to the government to make my life choices and the have zero jurisdictional over the outdoors. It's time they were reminded what they are supposed to be doing and get their grubby little soft fingers out of our pockets!

  5. Prevention rather than cure – sounds like a top idea to me. Need to help pubs though. Later opening hours was a good move – came in in 2005. It would be good to hear some ideas on how to improve pub business here rather than the usual moaning

  6. I don't understand? people go to the pub to socialize and have a couple, maybe five pints which will cost them say about £35 then they stop because it starts getting expensive and go home. If if they are thinking about this then most people will decide to stay home and spend £25 for say 40 cans out of the supermarket which defeats the object about trying to be more healthy 🙄

  7. I believe there is no need for boozers in the 21 century. They are full of the same people who go in there daily sitting in the same seats and don't work so goodness knows how they afford it and then creating problems for the police and then hospitals. Smoking should be banned from outside pubs as it doesn't smell good at all going past

  8. I would go further ban alcoholic drink drugs smoking pornography strip clubs gambling night clubs all addictions that damage physical mental spiritual health of the British nation // allow an opportunity for faith groups to reclaim a righious god loving sentiment in young people// well done 👍

  9. Public Health would improve by getting rid of this Labour Government? Less Anxiety, Less Worry, Less Stress, wondering if you can still keep your home and car on the road?
