re: insurance. I actually looked into GCN insurance but reading into the details I saw that this was not full replacement insurance but used depreciation to determine payout in case of a claim. This type of insurance has no interest for me as if I insure a bike I expect it to be fully replaced with another comparable bike, not to be given some random and partial value set by someone who is not impacted by the loss of it.

Tadej going after the Triple Crown (Giro, TdF & World's in same season) would become 3rd rider ever to do it (Eddy Merckx & Stephen Roche), and it's not been done since 1987. Although when Stephen Roche did it, the Giro was 22 stages & TdF was 25 stages

To anyone with a broken ankle I recommend a knee crutch – I used one because my apartment building had a stairway at each entrance and I never did manage to handle stairs on crutches. I bought an iWalk 2.0 knee crutch and was able to use stairs and navigate rough bricks and cobbles with it. I don't know how a knee scooter would handle rough surfaces but I'm pretty sure stairs are impassable with a scooter.
I'm in the US and I'd say 90% of motorists are just terrible. And not even smart enough to understand the concept of average speed vs max speed – they gun it to reach a red light and then they need to accelerate from 0, when a slower approach would enable them to maintain speed through the intersection, giving a faster average speed but slower maximum speed. 🙃

It’s gonna be epic race, and it is likely that Pogi may win. Yet, we don’t know yet who has the best legs and luck on race day. It’s wiser to say all top riders have a chance to win equally.

I crashed in a sprint in a race last year. I wrote off my 4.5k bike, aero helmet , skin suit , Apple Watch and pair of oakleys. After the crash everyone asked me was it insured, it was not. I was very thankful for family who helped out and all the other companies crash replacement discounts. It still cost hell of a lot of money to replace. Safe to say this season I insured my bike. You just never think that’s it’s going to happen to you

Is helmet safety new to the UK? Virgin Tech University has been rating helmets for a while now. VTs second highest rated MBT helmet was on sale from Specialized for $60, I bought 2.
