They are not a thumbs up for anyone. This crap diserves to be forgotten and lost in oblivion
Skyway Tuff-Wheels on my CYC Stormer BMX bike changed my life. I could fly without fear of breaking them and I did eventually bend the rear wheel, which Skyway promptly replaced for free when I returned it with a nice note. They were true to their word and they made a great wheel, nylon I think it was.
Heavier, less aerodynamic, and more expensive. Sounds perfect.
Can't go out of true. So. I'd say if they come round enough, they are better for the practical minded moneybag
But if the wheel breaks you have to buy new ones?

1630g for the wheels now add the rotors and hardware, not for me, ill stick to rim brake, lightweight and sleek.
Wonder if Elite gave them the bike to promote the wheels?

Banned in competition because they’re more dangerous to get other riders stuck in the spokes during a crash.

Spinergy X wheels they best wheels ever! Raced them alot,rigid, comfortable and durable.
Thats why they stopped making them..
Cycling has become a joke of a sport.
Ultra expensive equipment with limited lifetime.
Unless you're rich or you live in the country side and you do low miles..
I bought my first racing bike in 1996.
A Cannondale r800 with dura ace parts and Atlanta wheels.
It was about 1000 euros back them.
My last bike 1999 was a colnago ovaltitan with full campagnolo record at around 3000. Same was with carbon bikes.
Nowadays bikes are waaaaayy overrated and as everything else inflation send pricing to the sky..
This short make me think about… Metal rims eventually bent because uneven tension and impact from pits and other stuff… But how deal with this kind of wheels? Mean is it possible to carbon wheels be just more practical in exact form like it shown in this short from this point of view? No, I really wonder about.
I still have a Specialized Tri-Spoke, and a set of Rev-X
I do feel there is quite a gap between "super Light weight tour de france hill climber" and "130kg rider weight limit"…..
