Finally the rain has broken me, just 160km short of the finish line I have scratched from the Great British Divide bikepacking adventure, I am happy with my achievement. The fun was gone and another day and a half riding in driving rain just to tick the box to say I finished was no longer appealing

I do wonder whether sharing the experience with someone else of a similar level of performance so you stay together would get you through the tough times ? Fair play to you for sticking 9 days alone. …… What do you do with your bike and kit when you stay in hotels ?……just going in a shop or cafe I would worry someone would have sticky little fingers 🤔😊
