Back to mountain bikes after 20 years. I’m a runner, but due to a knee injury I need to mix things up a bit in order to keep my fitness up.
Bike arrived yesterday. Build was pretty smooth. Had some issues with gear alignment so took it to my local bike shop today. Seems sorted. When running on the larger cogs things sound very slightly rougher than when running on the smaller cogs, but no slippage and the gear changes are smooth.
Oh, and the bike shop tech said that my clutch was set to off, when it really should be set to on. Weird as the back wheel was fully installed out of the box – so I wonder why Canyon left it set to off?
Oh #2 – my front wheel was about 2 degrees out of alignment with the stem. Again, that seems like a Canyon QC issue, as all I needed to do was install the handlebars (which does not affect stem/wheel alignment).

Overall very happy though, it rides so smooth! Just did a 12km tarmac path shakedown today. Will take it on some light trails this week.
