Hey everyone! After spending years on a hardtail and my beloved electric bike, I decided it was time to dive into the world of full-suspension. I just picked up the REI Co-op Cycles DRT 3.3, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice.
I took it out on the trails today, and it handled everything I threw at it with ease. The RockShox 35 Gold RL fork and Deluxe Select+ rear shock smoothed out the rough stuff and made technical sections feel way more manageable. I was especially impressed with how light and nimble the bike felt, even with the full-suspension setup—it climbs surprisingly well for a bike in this category.
The Shimano SLX drivetrain is another highlight—shifting was smooth and precise, even under load. The Shimano MT420 hydraulic brakes are solid, offering plenty of stopping power, which gives me the confidence to push harder on descents.
Before buying, I was considering some of the more well-known models, like the Specialized Stumpjumper, but after comparing specs and pricing, I felt like the DRT 3.3 offered the best bang for my buck. Plus, I scored it on sale, which made the deal even sweeter.
Any other full-suspension converts here? I’d love to hear your experiences or recommendations for upgrades. I’m already eyeing some tubeless tires and maybe a dropper post down the line.
