Jasper Philipsen took his second stage win at the 2024 Tour De France after winning a hectic sprint stage into Pau.
The Belgian was victorious on stage 13, holding off the likes of Wout Van Aert, Pascal Ackermann and Biniam Girmay.
The stage was far from the classic mould of flat stages, with a huge breakaway including Mathieu Van Der Poel and Adam Yates going up the road early on.
Visma Lease-A-Bike were among the teams to try and chase it down, before ripping the race apart in the crosswinds.
That significantly reduced the riders in the peloton with Mark Cavendish and Dylan Groenewegen the quick men to fall out of the back.
But in a crash-marred finale, Philipsen closed the gap to Girmay’s green jersey by sprinting clear of Belgian counterpart Van Aert.

Welcome to this channel! I would love to do sports commentary as a full-time job, and this is a passion project which may help me achieve that goal. A like and comment would be very much appreciated, especially with ways you think I can improve my commentating. I am eager to learn while doing this, which should hopefully be the first step to achieving my dream. Anyway, enough waffling from me, enjoy the content!
