Today me and Dad head off along the stunning ancient River Wey, on the very first section of canal, we ever took narrowboat Olive on, 3 and a half years ago. This is a stunning section of river, and a lovely hot summers day to go with it, with a few hour’s launch break at the Newark Priory, then its up two more locks in the cooler evening, but one lock was particularly busy, causing some very risky manoeuvring by one narrowboat…

  1. Coxes Mill did not close in the 60's It carried on until the 80's when it was converted into luxury apartments . In fact commercial carrying resumed with the barges Annie & Clinton into the 80's

  2. Josh, stay on ure disisions, i have a feeling the cat is in good hands or even come back. The clouds in the sky looks simulair as in Holland. Dark gray clouds have also silver edges, always. ❤

  4. Really loved the tranquil scenic route and drone footage.. of course, especially the Priory ruins.
    Dad back at the helm too , even if very tired but you took it at a slow pace and with the good weather the colours were stunning 🤩
