  1. Or maybe, just maybe, stop gentrifying Salento. Prices are absurd all because of this kind of agencies. Locals now can't even afford to spend a summer in the places they've grown up after moving to the north for work. This implies destroying local culture, local languages like griko or salentinian are vanishing because they cannot speak it with you.

  2. Interesting properties. I know you have only Italy and France covered. I would suggest you check out Slovenian properties as well. Also living costs are lower and not so hot in summer as in south Italy.

  3. You mention buying a car. Non residents are procluded from owning a car in Italy, so for most foreign owners of property who don't take Italian residency, this is not an option.

  4. The last house looked like a box and not worth 390k euros, it had no character at all. Who puts a couch in a kitchen, I guess the Italins do

  5. Don't move to the eu. The red tape is a nightmare. Migrant crime is rampant. Far left squatters can occupy your property and you can't get them out, at least not for a while. Eu bureaucracy is outright evil. Most europeans have communist mentality. The continent does not have a good future.

  6. Very good info, I guess the home with the roof top seating would be my choice, as a builder what I would love to see is vacant direct oceanfront land or with a tear down home, on large lots over 1 acre, if possible, to build something brand new home

  7. Lidl is the cheapest, and IMHO the best supermarket in UK & Europe, for retirees. Yes, there is ALDI (tiger-bread is the only reason to differentiate). BOTH are GERMAN… so think efficient, good refrigerated food chains across Europe.

  8. Well, if i had sufficient funds i would be purchasing the 4th property. Renovated, good layout and that gorgeous roof terrace and off road parking.
My second choice us property no 2.
It would have to be my first choice because of funds and i really do like it. Modern, spacious, lovely balcony, all furniture included. No work. Great

  9. Why is everyone commanding me to retire there? Like bro I'm only 25 I wanna move to Italy but I don't wanna retire wtf. Just tell me cool places with young people as well…

  10. Just remember to check if there are unauthorized structure, that was built after the house was registered. It wonโ€™t be possible to buy it without paying a fine.

  11. When you describe that the first building is quite long, the photo shows a flight of steps leading up to a bright upper level. That space seems to be an outside space. Can you elaborate?

  12. The 390 Euro home is perfect. I would worry about construction to the right that might obstruct some of the view? Is it true in Italy the sellers expect to sell for 15 to 20 % off ask?
