I was ready to buy a used 2023 4 Speed P-Line when I came across an amazing deal for a new 2022 model. It was cheaper than the used 2023 and the 2 major differences were not so important to me (50T vs 54T and Folding vs Quick Release pedals). I made a few changes and plan to keep it like this for some time.
Grips – Lizard Skins Strata. I love the feel and just a Lizard Skins fanboy.
Crankset – Superlight Carbon 56T. Even the 54T on the 2023 felt too ‘spinny’ for me. I live in the Netherlands so hills are not a factor. Since I saved so much on the 2022, I felt okay with splurging on the Superlight crankset.
Pedals – Superlight Quick Release. I actually prefer the folding pedals but the Superlight Carbon pedal arm is too wide for the pedal to fold. Did not realize this until after I had it installed.
Carrier Block – Removed. No plans to get a Brompton bag. I like my backpack.
Front/Rear Reflectors – Removed. I have some simple LEDs for riding in low light conditions.
