PART ONE of a cycle ride where I cycle to Ripon, North Yorkshire, where we search out Ripon’s former railway station, closed by Dr Beeching when he axed the Harrogate / Northallerton railway line. Is Ripon railway station still there? We also visit the Lepers’ Chapel of St Mary Magdalen.
