Hi,
I bought this vintage bike a few years ago, unfortunately I’ve not been able to use it much due to disability but trying to pump the wheels up and send it for a more useful life with someone else.
Does anyone know if I can use this hand pump it came with for the presta valves? If so how? I’ve loosened the valve and pressed the pump into it but I’m just getting air out the sides.
I feel pretty stupid asking this but I’ve never used a presta valve and I’ve tried looking for help guides but they all seem to be using modern pumps.
I thought I must just need another pump type or adapter but there is some ebay listings of this pump saying presta so I feel like it may work, I’m just doing it wrong.
If anyone knows the year/decade of the frame I’d be grateful, I understand this is a kind of (lovingly) frankensteined bike but I’d love to know when it was made so maybe I can find another one if I’m able to ride again in the future.
