Hi everyone. I looking to get a new bike. Currently using almost 10yo ghost bike hybrid, alu frame, with 37mm tires. I'm a pretty big man 187cm hight and around 120kg weight, but that was never issue on my current bike (I know I'm overweight but works in progres to loos some kg's) I'm find something magnetic in canyon bikes so decide to get one off them as a next. As a person who's not afraid to get some dirt on my clothes I want to dive into the gravel bikes category. So I find this two nice pieces one of them it's GRIZL 7 Alu frame and second one it's GRIZL 8 CF they looks so good for me and I defently want to pick up one of them but what I seen on canyon web side is they recommend to not being fat:
"The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use."
So my question is should I be worried about this weight limit? or if not which frame it's safer to use for ppl with this kind of mass? I read that carbon is more durable overall but in some cases It may collapse at the joints, in other side alu frame are more stable and less likely to fall apart. In this point I don't know what I shoul do(excluding weight loss cuz this is obvious) which one should I choose, if any? Thanks for any advice and sorry my eng but this is not my basic language
