Who are the people behind this great channel.. ?
I use this lane every day and I'm thankful for it. In terms of its value, aside from the appalling consequences for the victim and her friends and family and the doctor's patients , how much did all the activity around and after the accident cost? How much does the council have to spend on roads and infrastructure? Do you question that, or is that just okay, even though cyclists also pay council tax but do much less damage to the roads and have zero emissions?
interesting discussion but is your primary assumption wrong in that you imply a broke bcc is using its money to fund this.. where as in reality.much of this funding on cycle ways is central govermnment funded. i also find the "causes congestion argument" flawed. the cause of congestion in brum is simple too many cars especially after covid on the same roads milaege.= congestion. Plus many people moved out to work from home so now they communte in also adding to it.
