  1. Anything more than a 30 min bike ride isn't worth it wasting your time. I'm not wasting an extra hour out of my little to no free time cycling to and from work. Maybe somedays to get the workouts in, but not everyday.

  2. interesting but missing a few points. First causal clothing is not practical for all year round UK commute! Second comfort? I have 2 bikes, race/summer (drop bars and clip peddles) e-bike/winter (flat bars, front sus & big tyres) only got the e-bike this year as in my mid 50'S as replacement for steel frame tourer previously used. I do 90 over 3 days a week (motorbike the other 2 days) The bonus I notice with the e-bike has been the comfort and posture is far more relaxing. Yes a mountain bike would give the same comfort but weight, tyres and drag would increase my commute time where the e-bike has negated this kept a constantly good commute time. but might just be my age?

  3. Bro tryna ride these impractical ass bikes as a commute while wearing racing suits. Real bike commuters tend to wear normal shit and ride normal bikes with fenders

  4. Defiantly the E Bike.
    It makes sense.
Not everyone can stay fit every day. That motor is really helpful.
And you get to maintain pace with cars on the road, which makes things bit safer.

  5. This doesn't feel like an honest commuter challenge, you need to be under time pressure, it needs to be raining, you need to carry the clothes you'll be wearing during work, and a couple things extra (patch kit & whatnot) and you've got to be sleep deprived 😌. This doesn't represent the daily struggle at all ❤

  6. i just use my GIANT Escape Disk 3. its fast enough that I can keep a pace of 30km/h no problem but also not an expensive pro bike, it can have racks and everything, its the perfect everything bike.

  7. i'm sad with the lack of diversity in shape, they're all more or less standard cross tube frame bikes, theres no omafiets step through or step over frames, no cargo bikes of traditional or dedicated varieties, the e-bike had pannier racks but thats about it, not big enough to put a duffel bag on. fair enough for a dedicated cycling and not a bike commuting channel though
