I’ve never been this excited about the Olympics, and with them being in Paris, I had to see it for myself. Road cycling is Belgium’s favourite sport, and it usually means a guaranteed medal. But what we didn’t expect was the total domination of the aero bullet, Remco Evenepoel. After finishing 3rd in his first Tour de France, he won Olympic Gold in the time trial, then followed it up with another Olympic Gold on the road. This was epic! I cycled from the UK and got into Dieppe at 05:15 and tried to get to Paris in time to watch. I managed to see the peloton go past on Pave Des Gardes but I wish I got closer to the finish because that party atmosphere looked amazing!
