Finally puckered up and got creative.
Drilled out the OE inflation stem with a 10mm drill bit – all by hand and drill…
And installed the brass inflation stem – managed to find some aluminium 1/8thBSP weld on "nuts" for lack of a better term that fit into the bottom of the forks caps like a glove.
Now it's a easy inflation and it's all spot on.
Found it ironic how easy the process was, yet non of the suspension experts around here would really help in any way other than shrug shoulders or say 'buy new forks'…
